Product Introduction

The term nitrile rubber stands for acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR). This material has good engineering properties and is a general purpose sealing lip material. This copolymer made from acrylonitrile and butadiene can well withstand the following media:

Most mineral and mineral oil-based fats

General fuels such as gasoline, diesel and light fuel oil

Animal and vegetable oils and fats, and hot water

Nitrile rubber also allows the seal lip to run dry for short periods of time. The permitted operating temperature range of nitrile rubber is –40 to +100 ° C (–40 to +210 ° F). Withstands temperatures up to 120 ° C (250 ° F) for a short time.

SKF also supplies a special nitrile rubber with a temperature range of -55 to +110 ° C (-65 to +230 ° F).

NBR has good chemical resistance and good processability. As the content of propionitrile in its structure increases, its relative density increases, its vulcanization speed increases, and its tensile strength properties increase. The cyano group in NBR is easy to be polarized by the electric field, so the dielectric properties are reduced. NBR can be divided into five types: ultra-high, high, medium-high, medium and low-acrylonitrile according to the level of ACN.

Q2: What is the normal lead time for product orders?
