Production Introduction
Spring energized seal:
A helical wound spring and a polymer jacket, which is primarily used for pistons, make up KAFLON PH.
The polymer jacket is made of many materials, such as UHMW-PE, PEEK, filled PTFE, and virgin PTFE.
The aforementioned materials are more heat- and chemical-resistant than rubber. The majority of chemical fluids, solvents, hydraulic oils, and lubricating oils can all use them. They can provide good sealing performance for a long time because of their very low expansibility.
The spring energized seal produces seals that can replace the majority of static or dynamic (reciprocating or rotating) seals by primarily using helical springs to overcome the elastic difficulties of PTFE, UPE, and PEEK. Service temperatures can range from -196°C to 300°C, pressures can range from vacuum to ultra-high pressures of 70MPa, and moving speeds can reach 20 m/s. The spring can be utilized in a variety of service settings, and different types of springs are chosen so they can be used when a high-temperature corrosive fluid is present.
The helical wound spring's material includes Stainless Steel, Elgiloy, Hast Alloy, etc.
When the pressure is more than 900LBS, an anti-extrusion ring is required.
