Spring energized PTFE seals can be used in applications that require ultra-low
friction, chemical compatibility and extreme temperatures.Nowadays, spring energy storage seals have
been widely used in aerospace, automotive and energy fields. Specific application cases include jet
engines, helicopter rotors, oil field equipment, and fuel pumps.
The spring energized seal is a high-performance seal with a special spring assembled in U-shaped PTFE.
With proper spring force and system fluid pressure, the sealing working lip is pushed out and gently
pressed against the sealed surface to produce a very excellent sealing effect. The sealing working lip
has the best short and thick characteristics, which reduces friction and extends life.
