UPE spring energized PTFE seal with slant 301 spring
Spring energized PTFE seal is a high-performance seal with a special spring assembled in U-shaped
PTFE. With proper spring force and system fluid pressure, the sealing working lip is pushed out and
gently pressed against the sealed surface to produce a very excellent sealing effect. The sealing working
lip has the best short and thick characteristics, which reduces friction and extends life.
PTFE is a kind of sealing material with excellent chemical resistance and good heat resistance. It can be
applied to most chemical fluids, solvents, hydraulic oils and lubricating oils, and its compression
deformation is small, so it can exert sealing performance for a long time.
The operating temperature can range from refrigerant to 300°C, the pressure is from vacuum to
ultra-high pressure 700kg/cm2 (about 70MPa), and the moving speed is up to 20m/s. The spring
can be selected from stainless steel, corrosion-resistant alloy, etc. according to different use
environments, so it can be used in various high-temperature corrosive fluid occasions.
