Introduction:

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) spring-energized pump static seals are a type of sealing solution used in pumps and other fluid handling systems to prevent leakage of fluids. The seals are made from PTFE, a synthetic fluoropolymer known for its excellent chemical resistance and low coefficient of friction. The PTFE material used in spring-energized seals is specially formulated to provide enhanced wear resistance and resilience in demanding environments.

The spring energization of these seals comes from a metallic spring element that is encapsulated within the PTFE material.
